User Shapes - Allows the user to draw graphic elements (points, lines, or polygons) on the map. These may be used for display only, or to select map features. |

User Shapes Information - Displays a form summarizing the coordinate locations and distances of User Shapes added to the map. |

Clear Data - Opens a form containing checkboxes for all applicable catagories to be cleared from the map (Selected features, User shapes, Attribute window, Identified features, Buffers, Filter, and/or Query results). |

Buffer - Opens a form containing inputs for creating a buffer polygon from either Selected Features or User Defined Shapes. (Click here to learn more about Selected Features.) |

GeoCoding - The GeoCoding button opens a form containing inputs for locating a street address. If that address is found, a point will be created and the map will zoom to that vicinity. (Click here for more information on geocoding.) |

Map Sets - This button opens a form containing inputs for saving new Map Sets, or restoring existing Map Sets. Map Sets are a mechanism for storing the map's location (map extent) and/or map layer visibility settings. Map Sets may be private or public. Private Map Sets are saved by the user and are available for a temporary time period (set by the site administrator). Public Map Sets are established by the site administrator and are available to all users. |

Help - The Help button brings up the on-line help pages which you are currently viewing. |

About - The About button brings up the "About" window describing the application and information about GeoSmart.net, the developers of the application. To close the window, click on the About button again or click the "close" button within the box. |

Home - The Home button will return you to the home page for the specific application, or the entire web site. |
