Zoom In and Out Tools. - There are several zoom options:
Zoom In by Envelope:  Click within the map and hold the mouse button down to draw a box around the area that you want to fill the screen.
Zoom In by Point:  Clicking within the map causes a zoom in, centered on the location of the mouse click.
Zoom In by 50%:  Clicking on this button will cause the map to zoom in, centered on the current map location.
Zoom Out by Envelope:  Click within the map and hold the mouse button down to draw a box around the area that you want to be the center of the new view.  The smaller the zoom out box, the greater the zoom out effect.
Zoom Out by Point:  Clicking within the map causes a zoom out, centered on the location of the mouse click.
Zoom Out by 50%:  Clicking on this button will cause the map to zoom out, centered on the current map location.
NOTE:  for any of the zoom options, if you zoom in far enough additional map layers will appear.
Panning - There are several panning options; your site may be configured for one or more.
Pan by Point:  Clicking within the map will re-center the map on that location.
Pan by Drag:  Click within the map and hold the mouse button down to drag the image of the map to the new location.
Panning Compass - By clicking on one of the directional arrows of the compass, the viewable extent of the map will be repositioned towards that direction.  There are 8 standard compass directions: North, Northeast, East, etc.
Panning Arrows - The Panning Arrows buttons are located at the outside edge of the map, at the top, bottom, left, and right.  By clicking on one of the pan arrow buttons, the viewable extent of the map will be repositioned towards that direction.  (The button shown is the Pan East button)
Zoom to Full Map - This will return the map to the visual extent of all layers in the map.
Zoom to Previous Extent - Pressing the button returns to the previous map location.
